PINELLAS PARK WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
Channel Improvements for Pinellas Park Water Management District
Channel 1A2 in Pinellas Park had severe erosion and scour in various locations. The task included Coordination and supplying documentation necessary to satisfy the SWFWMD Cooperation Funding Agreement. The district was awarded $403,000 in cooperative funding from SWFWMD for this channel improvement. Once the funding was secured Applied Sciences began preparing design plans, permit documents and 30%, 60% and 90% submittal documents for this 1,200-linear foot project. Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling was completed using ICPR. Applied Sciences coordinated with Duke Energy, Frontier Communications, Pinellas County, and the City of Pinellas Park and the project design portion was completed in February 2021.
